Usually Tour de France race officials invite two wildcard teams for the seasons biggest race, which was the case this year. However with the recent doping scandal one of those non-pro teams was banned from racing this year Tour de France leaving only the French team Agitubel which will be lead this year by two Spanish riders, Juan Miguel Mercado and Jose Alberto Martinez. Funny the “French” team has selected two Spaniard to lead it’s team this year.
Juan Migel Mercado is the newest addition to the team, Mercado rode for the Belgium team Quickstep for a two year period and won one stage in the Tour de France and will hope to capture a stage win again this year.
