Ullrich Out Of Giro

Jan Ullrich’s had enough of racing in his build up to this years Tour de France and felt it made sense to drop out of The Giro d’ Italia as Saturdays stage will be really tough and quite taxing. Jan does not want to over extend himself and after nearly four weeks of racing (Ullrich also rode in the Tour de Romandie prior to this years Giro) it seams a logical decision.

While many casual fans might not understand that the Giro was simply a stepping stone for the German cyclist his riding has improved greatly over the last several weeks as he won the Giro time trial 28 seconds ahead of Ivan Basso of Italy.
