Tyler Hamilton - Doping Appeal Fast Approaching

As summer seams to wind down thought are of the Vuelta and also Hamilton, who about this time last year started to test positive in several doping tests (both in the Olympics and the Vuelta). The recent news story on HBO was quite interesting and what I got from the coverage was that the test was so dam new, and also that the test could also return results that one Doctor might consider positive while another would say “fine – no doping”. It is a shame for an athlete of Tyler Hamiltons stature to be removed from his sport in the hight of his success and also as he winds down his pro career. I am not saying that Hamilton is innocent … however I am saying that this “doping committee” needs to be 100% sure when penalizing someone for a 2 year sentence.

I hope things work out for Tyler one way or another …
