Two additional rides to post (for my own cycling log), on Wednesday I went out for a solo ride through Wayzata and into the Long Lake area. Very windy day and I almost skipped the ride, however once I got out on my bike I felt great and the wind was not too bad (although it did slow me down quite a bit). The route had me heading through McGinty road and into Wazyata where I picked up Ferndale drive and then got on Wayzata blvd and headed toward the Wayzata country club.
I followed that road (Old Long Lake Road) which was really a nice road to bike, with little traffic and lots of wooded area it was quite nice. Next I headed east on East Long Lake Road and followed that to Spring (something) which ran into county road 6. It was a great ride and I plan on heading further north on that Spring drive or what ever the name was, really a great road to bike.
Then on Thursday I went out with my neighbor again and we took the same route but added another 5 or 6 miles by tooling around Orono.
