The spring classics are coming to an end now as the sport heads into the big tours several months away (the first being the Giro which gets underway in May). Before the Grand Tours as they are called many America riders will be looking to tweak their fitness this coming week at the Tour of Georgia. The 600 mile stage race gets started in Augusta Georgia and heads back into the step mountains by the weekend. Tom Danielson (pictured above) will look to defend his victory for the Discovery Team.
Of course Armstrong will not be their to help the young up and coming star defend his title, speaking in all honesty as exciting as it was to cheer for Armstrong over the years I am very excited to see what happens this year without Lance… this years big tour will play out very differently than it has in years past.
