Team Manager Manolo Saiz Busted In Huge Doping Scandal

Yesterday a doping bombshell hit the cycling community that is as big if not bigger than the Festina scandal of 1998 said Lance Armstrong. Liberty Seguros team manager Manolo Saiz was busted on Wednesday as officials raided two of his offices and found frozen bags of blood, equipment for blood transfusions as well as anabolic steriods and EPO.

The fall out was fast and furious as Liberty Seguros quickly pulled sponsorship of the pro team leaving lots of questions unanswered for the team and this years Tour de France. Team leader Alexandre Vinokourov said one way or another he will make it to the starting line with or without the now defunct Liberty Seguros team. I for one would hate to see Vino get caught up in this and not be able to race this years Tour. He has focused his entire season on the Tour de France and managed to get on a team with a manager that believes in doping, ugh …
