Paris – Nice is a 7 day stage race that takes place early in the season (March) it is considered one of the first “major” stage races of the year. The race starts in northern France and slowly works it’s way to the warm south of France. Because the tour heads towards warmer weather it is also known as “The Tour Of The Sun”.
In 2005 Bobby Julich (Team CSC) rode a very impressive race that was real fun to watch on OLN, Julich came in just 10 seconds ahead of Alejandro Valverde.
