Levi Holds Lead - Ullrich - Not Quite Enough For German Tour Win

The American’s continue to amaze this year with Levi Leipheimer 31 seconds ahead of Jan Ullrich in this years Tour of Germany. All hail to wonder kid Bobby Julich as he finishes just 11 seconds slower than Jan Ullrich in yesterdays time trial.

I am sure Jan is a bit dissapointed in his year so far with no major tour victory, however he is in close contention for the Tour of German but with just one day to go it might be a little too little a little to late for the German.

Der Kaiser strikes back …..But it ain’t quite enough for the locomotive that is Jan Ullrich. He’s still a Kaiser without a throne in his homeland. With one day to go, it’s going to be a sweet victory for Levi Leipheimer at the Tour of Germany. 

Assuming he has no problems on the final 168 km leg to Bonn tomorrow, Levi Leipheimer will take out the best stage race win of his career at the Tour of Germany. He will probably have his sponsor’s brew pumped directly to his house for eternity, too, as he has handed them an entire season’s publicity in the last 7 days … read on here
