T-Mobile has their game plan set for the Tour of Italy and their big name will not be Ullrich. While Ullrich is surely the highest paid man on the T-Mobile cycling squad recent problems with his knee has delayed his preparation quite a bit for this years pro calander. Yellow Jersey reader will be aware that Jan was able to compete in the Tour de Romandie last week which he felt was positive as it put some much need racing miles into his legs. However his involvement in the upcoming Giro will in simply be additional “preparation” for the Tour de France.
Instead the Team Captain will be working for Ukrainian Serhiy Honchar during the Giro d’ Italia, who has placed as high as second place in the Italian race and has high hopes for this years event.
