Bobby Julich - Two More Years With Riis

When American’s are asked about cycling’s great American riders often one or two names are mentioned, of course Lance Armstrong and Greg Lemond. However in the last several years the cycling world has watched as a large amount of Americans have begun to dominate cycling. Bobby Julich is one fine example, Bobby who got started with his cycling career “roughly” around the same time as star Armstrong found himself on the podium in france in 1998… but then his career started to fad and he had several tough years and almost thought about throwing in the towel with professional cycling.

Then two years ago Bjarne Riis (cycling manager for CSC) saw an opportunity for/with Julich and told him not to give up and to give his squad a try. The following season Julich seamed to return to forum … and this year the American has had an incredible season winning two tours (Paris Nice in the spring) and (Tour of Benelux) which just ended about a week ago.

It is really great to see Bobby riding this way as he enters into the twilight of his career!

Hat’s Of Bobby ….. well done
