Last year a young rider by the name of Alberto Contador caught my eye, and amazing climber and tactically smart Contador started the season strong with a near win at Tour de Romandie. However things got nasty for the Spanish rider as his team at the time “Liberty Seguros-Würth” was not allowed to race in the Tour de France do to the whole “doping issue”. However over the winter he signed with the Discovery Channel cycling team and has several wins under his belt and is looking very promising including last weeks epic Paris Nice.
